American Airlines makes Bimini closer than ever

On February 14th, 2026, American Airlines started its short 20 minute flight to our beautiful island from Miami. This is great news for everyone wishing to visit Bimini because now you have more options when it comes to traveling to the island. Not only that, but it will open Bimini to many travelers from all over the U.S and the world who wish to visit, making it easier to book directly with American Airlines with its final destination being South Bimini.

The airport itself is undergoing major structural changes. A bigger hub is being constructed right besides the actual terminal. We just came back from Bimini and saw the progress. Hopefully this will mean better infrastructure and more accommodating surroundings for our visitors.
